The architecture of the PC-104+ Board relies on Sital’s established H009, 1553, and WB-194 (WMUX) IP cores. These cores are integrated into an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) component alongside individual component transceivers. Sital provides programmability for the board, offering the versatility to accommodate different settings and communication standards while utilizing identical hardware.

It includes eight Generic I/O pins, that can be used as RS-485/RS-422, and also includes ARINC-429 (8 transmit and 16 receive channels) or 8 avionics I/O ports. Additionally, the board features 8 digital input/output ports and both IRIG-B time-tag input and output channels.

Software Compatibility and Support

The BRD1553PC104 Board is suitable for onboard avionics systems and lab testing equipment. The standard interface board is software-compatible with DDC® Enhanced MiniACE® components and architecture, enabling fast and easy integration with existing or new systems. The tester version is provided with capabilities like injecting errors, supporting Multi-RT, simulating RT, and additional functionalities.

The board can be further expanded with optional add-ons such as Wiring Fault Detection IP and Cyber Security IP for MIL-STD-1553 interfaces.   • Tester configuration also supports simultaneous Bus Controller (BC), Multi-Remote Terminal (Multi-RT), monitoring, error injection, and improved monitoring functionalities for all protocols

  • Input and output for External Time Tag Clock available (via IRIG B)
