The Total EBR 1553 SPI from Sital Technology is the first fully integrated EBR-1553 component. It that simplifies system design by merging digital, protocol, and physical layers into one compact device.

Ideal for avionics, defense, and automotive bus systems. The Total-EBR1553SPI provides a true drop-in solution for engineers needing deterministic performance. Provides low EMI, and software compatibility—all in a miniature, U.S.-fabricated component.

It is built upon Sital’s proven MIL-STD-1553B engine. Used across avionics and military platforms since 2005. Ensuring long-term reliability, software compatibility, and immunity to obsolescence.

EBR-1553, designed to deliver MIL-STD-1553-like deterministic behavior at higher data rates (10 Mb/s), has historically lacked a unified standard. This led to multiple dialects and interoperability issues. The Total-EBR1553SPI resolves these challenges by supporting all common EBR dialects, automatic SPI width detection, and seamless integration with DDC® Enhanced Mini-ACE® (EMA®) software environments.

By integrating the SPI-to-EBR1553 conversion internally and supporting both Single and Dual SPI up to 50 MHz, the device offers high-efficiency data transfers while minimizing external components. Its design ensures robust signal integrity over RS-485 links up to 50 meters—far beyond competing devices that typically fail beyond 12 meters.
