Fully functional 1553 BC/RT/MT module with backend PMOD connectivity.

Highly integrated and self-contained module with the 1553 protocol engine, transceiver and transformer for dual-redundant Mil-Std-1553 applications. Out of the box project files for various platforms for rapid prototyping. The BRD1553SPI-P communicates to a host CPU via SPI-over-PMOD and is software compatible with other Sital products and with DDC Enhanced MiniACE devices. The board is designed for extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and high mechanical sustainability. It is intended for use by customers who require a simple and cost-effective 1553 module on their system.

The BRD1553SPI-P is offered with a complete, tested and integrated software and IP environment for Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ including PicoLinux device drivers and API, Vivado project files and FPGA IP with SPI master to drive the SPI slave interface on the BRD1553SPI-P over PMOD.

  • Less than 0.3W maximum power dissipation during 1553 transmission (1.5W on load)
  • Xilinx Ultrascale+ rapid prototyping package including: PicoLinux device drivers + code samples, Vivado project files, SPI master FPGA IP for Ultrascale+ with pin mapping over PMOD
  • 32 x 35mm (1.26 x 1.38 inch) for the BRD1553SPI module
  • RoHS Compliant
